Mara Suddeth

Undergraduate Research Assistant

My name is Mara Suddeth, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Georgia, where I earned degrees in Cognitive Science, Psychology, and Applied Biotechnology. My interest in biology education research stems from a desire to help others! I believe that everyone learns and thinks in different ways, and throughout my studies, I became fascinated with how metacognition shapes that process. I am interested in exploring how people understand their own thinking and learning, and how this awareness can be used to improve both education and scientific understanding. Ultimately, I hope to apply this knowledge to the field of neurology and to teach in the future. Outside of research, I enjoy all things music, including karaoke, line dancing, and discovering new artists.
